Summer Therapy Day Camp Spots Available

  • July 09, 2015

Summer provides the opportunity for children to focus on expanding their skills and getting involved in new activities. This summer, Brookings Health System offers the opportunity for kids to work on improving their communication and occupation-based skills at the Summer Therapy Day Camp.

The Summer Therapy Day Camp is a fun, theme-based program that allows children to improve a variety of skills, including speech and language skills, fine motor skills and sensory processing skills. The camp is structured to help children develop their communication and occupation-based skills with evidence-based therapy. A speech language pathologist and an occupational therapy assistant will facilitate the camp.

The program welcomes kids from preschool to fourth grade, with a maximum of six spots available. Summer Therapy Day Camp will run from July 28 through Aug. 13 every Tuesday and Thursday from 8:30 to 11 a.m. at Brookings Health System’s hospital.

The total cost for the camp is $175. Scholarships are available based on financial need. To register for the camp or request a scholarship application, call Brookings Health System at (605) 696-8821.
