Gavin Weber, a physical therapist and certified athletic trainer, recently joined the physical therapy staff at Brookings Health System.

“The addition of a certified athletic trainer enables us to expand the physical therapy services offered to patients who suffer from sports related injuries,” said Chief Nursing Officer Tammy Hillestad.

Weber has an undergraduate degree from SDSU in athletic training and a doctorate degree in physical therapy from USD. He previously worked for Prairie Lakes Healthcare System in Watertown.

As a physical therapist at Brookings Health System, Weber will assist patients regaining physical abilities they need for day-to-day functioning, working, or participating in sports and activities.

“I like seeing the progress patients make,” said Weber. “My goal is to help relieve and control their pain by tailoring exercise and treatment to their individual needs.”

Physical Therapy services are one of the comprehensive therapy services offered at Brookings Health System. For more information on how you or a loved one may benefit from the services of physical therapist, please visit www.brookingshealth.org/PT or call (605) 696-8821.
