Two years ago on Sept. 2, 2016, the Friday before Labor Day, Brookings Health System’s ambulance service was called to an accident along U.S. Highway 14 west of Volga. An east-bound 2001 Oldsmobile crossed the center line, colliding head-on with the car driven by Medary Elementary Art Teacher Jennifer Moser.

Becker’s Names Brookings Health to“100 Great Community Hospitals” for Third Consecutive Year
Becker’s Hospital Review recently released the 2018 edition of its “100 Great Community Hospitals” list and named Brookings Health System to the list for the third consecutive year.
Support Our Lifesavers
To help build the new Ambulance Station and Education Center, Brookings Health System Foundation has launched the Support Our Lifesavers capital fundraising campaign. Our goal is to raise $200,000 to help offset 20% of the total building cost.
Registration Now Open for Super Hero 5K Fun Run & Walk
Brookings Health System and Brookings Hy-Vee will host the fourth annual Super Hero 5K Fun Run and Walk on Saturday, Sept. 29. The race will start and end at the Sanford- Jackrabbit Athletic Complex (S-JAC) on the SDSU campus.
Understanding Grief Classes Begin Sept. 10
Brookings Health System’s free six-week educational series, Understanding Grief, will begin on Monday, Sept. 10. The class series is led by Social Worker Denise Larson, MSW, CSW.

This 5K and kids 1-mile super hero-themed fun run/walk is held at the Sanford-Jackrabbit Athletic Complex on Saturday, Oct. 12. Participants are encouraged to dress as their favorite super hero!
