Hand Therapy

Hand therapy provides treatment for conditions that affect the upper extremity. This includes the hand, wrist, elbow, and shoulder. During hand therapy, a knowledgeable therapist works hand-in-hand with the patient and the physician. The hand therapist provides individualized, conservative treatment or post-surgical care based on the patient’s specific diagnosis.

Brookings Health System's goal for hand therapy is to help patients regain use of the affected area to promote a return to all previously completed activities.
