Meet Orthopedic Surgeon Dr. Jeffry Dressander

Dr. Jeffry Dressander, M.D., a board-certified orthopedic surgeon, has joined the medical staff at Brookings Health System. As an orthopedist based full-time in Brookings, he offers both nonsurgical and surgical options for chronic conditions and injuries of the bones, joints and muscles. General orthopedic care Dr. Dressander provides includes:

• Robotic-assisted and minimally invasive surgery
• Total hip and knee replacements
• Knee scopes, including ligament repairs and cartilage restoration
• Shoulder surgery, including rotator cuff repair and cartilage restoration
• Treatment for fractures, carpal tunnel and trigger finger

Dr. Dressander comes to Brookings with over 25 years of medical experience. He received his medical degree from Rush Medical College in Chicago, IL, and performed his residency in orthopedics at the University of Wisconsin Hospital and Clinics in Madison, WI.

How to Refer a Patient

If you are a provider who uses Avera’s Meditech Expanse EMR, you may send a referral electronically to Dr. Dressander by selecting “AMG Brookings Ortho” in the Refer To field. Avera Medical Group Specialty Care in Brookings will schedule the patient.

If you are a provider who is not on the Avera EMR, you may refer a patient by calling Dr. Dressander’s office at (605) 696-2700. Avera Medical Group Specialty Care in Brookings will schedule the patient and request records as needed.
