Mako robotic-arm assisted surgery aids orthopedic surgeons in total hip, total knee and partial knee procedures. It is a new approach to joint replacements that offers patient-specific implant alignment and positioning. CT imaging allows surgeons to create a patient-specific 3D plan for the joint replacement. The surgeon controls the robotic arm that helps place the patient’s new joint with a high degree of accuracy.
