General surgery focuses on surgical procedures performed in the abdomen, including the esophagus, stomach, small bowel, colon, liver, pancreas, gallbladder, bile ducts, appendix and thyroid. General surgery also deals with diseases involving the skin, breast, soft tissue, trauma, and hernias.
Our general surgeons can perform many procedures laparoscopically or robotically. Some of the most common general surgery procedures include:

- Cholecystectomy to remove the gallbladder, including da Vinci gall bladder surgery
