Payment Plans

To help patients who are unable to pay their bill in full upon receipt, our patient financial counselors can assist by setting up payment plans. Payment plans require patients make regular, monthly payments toward the bill. Patient financial counselors work with each patient to determine the monthly amount that works best for them. Patients may also select their payment plan due date.

Payment plan lengths vary depending on the total amount owed. Longer-terms are available based upon a patient’s demonstrated financial need.

Co-Payments and Down Payment Plans

Brookings Health System team members may ask patients to make a small co-payment at the time of registration for a service. The co-payment goes toward the patient’s total out-of-pocket cost for the service.

Individuals who know they will have a future hospital service, such as the birth of a newborn or an elective surgery, may also make payments in advance of their service toward their final out-of-pocket cost.

If you are interested in a down payment plan, please contact our patient financial counselors at (605) 696-8030.
